Acrylic on a thin wood panel. Price includes a custom built float frame. Iconic Encinitas local beach that almost everyone has been to at least once. Back in the day, this beach was home to some of the best beach break waves in all of San Diego County. Not so much anymore due to the loss of huge amounts of sand, but it still can get going when the elements align.
This painting is based on some photos back in the summer of 1978 that I found. It depicts the "A frame" shape of the waves and their hollow, top to bottom characteristics. It was best on a "combo" swell but would also get really good on a clean SSW swell too. Those were the days. It was our "go to" spot for obvious reasons.
