This was an absolutely incredible winter day with a big NW swell, perfect angle, and conditions. It was the early 2000s. The parking booth is still in operation, too!
This painting is based on various photos I took of a massive NW swell in January 2003. It was one of the cleanest days I've ever seen at Cardiff Reef (and Swamis) in over 45 years.
