This water-level view is forever etched into my memory banks. When you paddle out at Blacks, and a big set comes rolling through at the south peak, you are in hyper-drive to get over that first wave. Its a race that you don't want to lose! We had countless days like this when I was surfing Blacks in the late 70s. It is now memorialized forever.
